haven't brushed my hair with a hairbrush or a comb in over 10 years Same here. Even when it grows longer I don't bother. I know a guy who really goes to town with hair wax and all other manner of over-priced shit but most people I know will probably just flatten it out in the mirror in the morning ...

So basically, Nintendo went on and on about sales figures, even though that involved showing that the PSP was outselling the Wii. They opened with a middle-aged woman standing on a set of weighing scales and pretending to snowboard. The first 4 games they mentioned were all games about cute cartoon ...

Actually, on the topic of that author being popular (to some degree) in the US but not here, he uses PDT on his site, which I believe is the time zone for the West Coast of the US - here we have GMT (Greenwich Mean Time, or +00:00) so he is indeed based in and aimed at the US. Sorry for making such ...

Well it was the same game, but just with a different name. Calling it Star Fox would put people off, I 'd say. By the way, I realise as I say this that the "Kitsune" of your name is Japanese for "fox". Europeans, or at least British people, are far less attracted to games for hav...

Not true. It would be like the days of the NES and SNES. Instead of competing over which console is the best, companies can go head to head in ultimate defiance of one another as they each seek to create the perfect most popular game. :3 I'd much rather see companies compete over better video games...

Scy: I completely agree with everything you said (well, I think I do - I read it very quickly) apart from the first bit, the bit about how one system would be bad. I've thought about that idea before and actually, unlike in many other fields where having multiple companies is good due to competition...

Ha - only the PC isn't one system, it's thousands of possible combinations of hardware. It needs to be upgraded every year or so to keep up with the games and often certain hardware just fucks up on certain games. My monitor alone cost more than a Wii. Even a hyped to hell game like Crysis sold less...

It's a little bit less surprising now that I remember that FFXI was also on the 360. I'm really looking forward to FFXIII and it doesn't really matter whether it's on the PS3 or 360 since I have neither (I had a 360 but I sold it after a few weeks). The other games I'm really looking forward to aren...

What really annoyed me about the P3 S.Links is how long some of them dragged on at the end, with you only ever getting the generic "You spent some time with [person]" message. Oh how long I tried to max out my Yuko S.Link...

The only WRPG that made a real impression on me in terms of atmosphere, plot, characters and sheer imagination was Planescape: Torment. I'd say it's no coincidence that it's more similar to console RPGs than most WRPGs (though still distinctly a PC RPG). The amount of things you can do in it is stag...

Scy: It's the fact it's a terribly programmed game with people that look like potato-headed freaks wearing tin-foil armour. It's horrifically clichéd in plot and design and most people say exactly the same thing "blah blah blah IF YOU'VE GOT THE STONES FOR IT!!" The way that that sort of g...

Well the only way I'll get this is if the buttons are better than the crappy Lite ones. I still have my original DS because of the awful Lite buttons (d-pad, face buttons and shoulder pads - all of them rattled around and felt so cheap compared to the original's). Yeah, the screen was brighter but i...

Oh well, if you're going to bring the Elder Scrolls series into it all you're going to see is me on one furious rant! I hate that series so much... I mean, if I was the boss of whoever published those games, and the developers brought any of those games in, I'd say "Hahaha, that's great man... ...

Just to throw in my little contribution on the RROD issue: Everyone I know who had an Xbox 360 had it RROD. One of them was a real geek who would certainly have had it on for most of the day sometimes. However, one of them would only use it to play FIFA for an hour or two twice a week. After a few m...
